The All Rounder Cricket Academy is entered into the Western Province Youth League for the cricket season for age groups u10, u11 & u13. This provides cricketers and opportunity to play Saturday matches versus various other clubs around the Cape Town area. All Rounder Cricketers who attend Friday Youth Section or private & group coaching is allowed to take part in matches. A whatsapp group is set up for each age group with the full squad where fixtures, availability and teams are confirmed.

Our Friday Youth Section training is a group training session where cricketers are divided according to their age and level of ability. The programme runs for the duration of the Term.

Our CSA qualified and experiences coaches run productive, fun session preparing our cricketers for match days. Each age group comprises of cricketers from all our hubs, indoor centre and different schools providing an opportunity to play with many different cricketers away from the school environment and no doubt new friendships will be formed!

AGE GROUPS:

Mini-Cricket: Up to 9 years old, soft ball

Juniors: u10 – u13 years old, hard ball

What cricketers will gain from joining the Youth Cricket Section at all the various coaching HUBS 

• Mini-Cricket Coaching is aimed at improving ball skills, strength, agility and confidence in young cricketers. We look at technical faults and stop bad habits before they become a problem. We prepare young cricketers for hard ball cricket. We will be arranging matches for our Nippers on Saturday mornings when possible

• Junior Cricket Coaching is aimed at improving skills and to develop all cricketers so that they can become more confident in their own ability. The All Rounder Cricket Academy has various teams playing in the Western Province Youth Cricket League and these matches take place on Saturdays depending on the age group. Cricketers will be included in these squads
